Many consider it like the smaller brother of the Huascarán. And it can that is right, since exactly this located behind the Huascarán to way of a third tip. Its piramidal form is visible even from the city of Huaraz. In many cases it is recommended to promote the first snow-covered Pisco before raising the Chopicalqui, since these mountains are relatively close to each other and almost in the same gorge.
